Hello,my name is Sam and I’ve been a hoarder for a number of years.
My life has been blighted by my mental health for as long as I can remember. It’s had its own spirals dragging me down, particularly in the one place I need stability – My Home. My little flat had become utter chaos and sheer madness.
Something drastic needed to be done. I had become blind to the implications of my hoarding, not only affecting how I felt but the health and safety consequences, risks of accidents and a fire hazard. Hoarding had slowly crept up on me until it became normalised. Was I able to through with riding myself and my home of the hoard, letting so many belongings go along with feeling frightened and most of all the shame
I took a chance with Jason who runs ‘ Can’t believe it’s not clutter ‘ After my initial meeting with Jason I knew he was right for the job.
Jason took charge and worked alongside me. He explained it would be a tough journey and mentally prepared me for this and assured me he would be with me every step of the way, supporting me through this journey, demonstrating patience, empathy and sympathy. It was empowering to hear Jason talk about how the NHS now acknowledges Hoarding as a mental health condition.
Jason explained the different ways we would tackle the hoard, which areas to begin with, time frames, I was kept up to date through the process.
So, our journey began, I had dreaded the initial session. There were times when the process became too much, tears flowed, as did the tea made by Jason, with his level headedness and words of comfort giving me the comfort and courage to continue.
Jason’s method of working is practical and methodical, the results became clear to see. My enthusiasm grew with his efficiency, along with the care and respect he showed to my belongings, of which most were found a home and little went to landfill.
No task was too big or too small, Jason adapted himself to my needs and respected my feelings on each separate session. Days were positive, some better than others.
I had become accustomed to treating my flat with such disregard and neglect and Jason has not only cleared my space, made my flat feel like my home once more which has helped turn my outlook on life around.
I will never be able to fully express my thanks to Jason. Because of him I am now happy to call this apartment my home

Jason from ‘Can’t believe it’s not clutter’ came to help me declutter at a very difficult time in my life. Each time I worked with him the results were clearly visible. Not only that he never judged me and always came up with positive solutions. I cannot speak highly enough of Jason. He is friendly, positive, and worth every penny.
After almost a year of shoehorning things into a large miscellaneous cupboard in my day room, I realised for the sake of keeping my surfaces tidy I was creating a complete nightmare behind the scenes.
No longer could I find anything I was looking for. It became a little overwhelming to confront the all mighty clear out that needed to be done.
Thanks to Jason he not only sorted it out with ease into logical and manageable compartments with labels and “places for things” but he also made it fun, not to mention how much quicker it took than if I was to tackle this job alone.
Jason was so easy to have in my home and I would most certainly use this company again.
With a large household, having Jason take the strain of my ironing really makes a difference to my life. Everything always come back pressed perfectly and neatly in packets so that it’s dust and dirt free. All shirts hung up! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you Jason

Leaky cellar. 30 odd years of clutter. Attempted clearance myself but soon realised I’d never succeed in a million years. Jason decluttered and organised it all in less than 2 days. The guy is a miracle worker. I can’t recommend him highly enough. He even took some stuff that couldn’t go in the skip to the tip for me.

Jason has done a brilliant job on my oven and it now looks as-good-as-new! He was also very neat and tidy. I could never have achieved such a good result myself and have no hesitation in recommending him to everyone.
Jason came to clean my oven and I can only say positive things. He was very professional, wearing shoe protectors , polite and friendly. Well, I truly thought I’d come home to a new cooker in my kitchen!! Both ovens were sparkly and shiny clean, and I can actually see through the glass doors now!

Jason did the best job with my totally horrid oven. It was so bad I was actually embarrassed to get it cleaned. I bit the bullet and got back in touch with Jason. As normal he was prompt, professional throughout and clean my oven so well it’s almost like new.

Jason confidently tackled 8 years of accumulated mess and clutter in our attic office and under eaves storage. He works efficiently and hard, updating regularly on progress and with suggestions. Everything is clearly labelled and in good quality mobile storage. He assembled a new desk and book case. 3 days of Jason’s time was time we would never find to get this room and space back into usable order. Jason comes highly recommended, and we will be lining him up to tackle our footprint cellar next!

I met Jason by chance and got chatting over cleaning. He then told me he was starting a decluttering business and could help sort out my front room which has become the band of my life. We had an initial discussion regarding what I was looking for and Jason had a look at the room. He agreed to undertake the work and we agreed a date and time. Jason turned up on time and was so organised. He brought his ie cleaning equipment. I was very impressed. Jason kept me posted in what hours he was working and how long roughly the work would take. Wow what could I say about the end result. The room never looked cleaner/ tidier and organised. I would definitely recommend Jason to friends. I’m hoping he’ll come back and help me with a few other things.
I have a back room which has become a dumpling ground for anything and everything I don’t have time to put away/ store. I asked Jason to have a look at it and he said it wouldn’t be a problem to sort out. He arrived on time and was organised. I gave instructions what could be thrown away and what needed to be sorted later. Jason follows these to a tee. I could not get over the transformation. The room was tidy and organised. Where there was space to move despite a large filing chest taking up a lot of the space. I can not recommend jason enough. He works hard and just gets on with it. I reached out to Jason when I was in need of restoring some order in my home, and boy did he deliver!
As a mother of 3 and a business owner, over the years clutter had accumulated and I had always been too busy or put it off for another time, until it became overwhelming.
I got in touch with him after Christmas and he promptly arranged to come around so he could understand my requirements and how I was using the space previously. He came around at a time that was convenient to me – a Tuesday evening and provided me with a comprehensive quote.
He started work the following week and WOW what a difference he made! Straightaway I could see space again. He worked quickly but checked in with me on key decisions. He made recommendations as to what could be recycled or donated and I was able to also make further decisions as everything was in better order for me to see what else I didn’t need.
He organised my cupboards and storage boxes and went to IKEA for me to stock up on jars and drawer dividers that would help me keep things organised. He also labelled all my storage boxes and food containers.
The whole process from start to finish has been wonderful. My children (after some initial resistance!) have also embraced it and are keeping things tidy, which is great to see.
I would not hesitate to recommend Jason. Not only is he professional and hardworking, but also kind and trustworthy. Anything that was no longer required was re-homed by Jason to local homeless charities. What’s not to love!

Massive thanks for being such a superstar Jason. You helped me tackle our garage and cellar – two areas that had been used as a dumping ground for too long and that felt far too overwhelming for me to even contemplate tidying out on my own. You were kind and patient and kept us going and I couldn’t believe we got them cleared and cleaned so quickly. You gave us back space in these areas and gave me the motivation to keep tackling the rest of the house. Thank you for being so lovely and making the days fun, and thank you for helping us tame our mess!
With 34 years worth of accumulated material something major was needed. Jason was ideal bringing a calm system to the process and knowing how to find the best place for the various objects whether charity shop, freecycle or ebay. This left very little to be discarded.
If any of my friends have an oven that needs a little bit of TLC, I can highly recommend Jason Roberts, via his new business called Cant believe its not clutter. I’ve had two ovens cleaned by him now, and I can honestly say that they both look like new ❤️ Could not be happier! Great value, great service and one very happy customer!
I was very nervous about decluttering and letting someone see how bad the spare room was, I feel a lot of shame about my house. Jason was very professional, kind and made me feel relaxed, I didn’t feel judged at all.
He wasn’t phased or overwhelmed by the room and made the process feel calm and achievable.
His system is really simple and he kept checking in with me to make sure it was at the right pace, I was impressed with his service of recycling and offering to take items to the charity shop too.
The room is cleared and he’s left me a detailed plan about how to organise items in the future.
